If you’re looking for a genuine travel agency to plan your trip to Africa, look no further than Roane Travel Design. Although their website just launched, they’ve been around since 2019, planning luxury vacations for some pretty important people. Although their client list is impressive, you’d never know it while talking to them. This team is incredibly humble and down-to-earth and an absolute joy to work with.
Roane Travel Design focuses on family, service, adventure, and authenticity as a family-run company. Jim and his daughter Elizabeth Roane, together with agents Laine and Jenna, are redefining travel. Rather than offering cookie-cutter itineraries, they get to know their travelers and hand-craft a luxury experience unlike any other. Fueled by their own lifelong passion for travel, this team raises the bar. Their goal is to create unforgettable experiences while also helping some of the communities in Africa through philanthropy. So whether you want to explore the ancient ruins of Egypt, take a cooking class from a local chef or go safari on a game drive through the Sahara, this team will create the perfect vacation for any family, solo trip, or honeymoon.
The Need for Showit Website Design, Custom Branding and SEO Copywriting
Businesses of all levels can benefit from a fresh new website and custom branding, and luxury travel agents are no different. Although Roane Travel Design had already made a name for themselves via word of mouth, they wanted a place where they could better serve their clients.
They wanted to inspire travel ideas, and they also wanted to offer tips, share some of the great photos coming back, and just have a virtual home for travelers to visit when sitting behind their desks at work.
They needed a custom travel agent website design and branding that helped others know exactly who they were and what they did right from the very beginning. Developing Luxury Travel Agent Branding | Step 1: Color Palette
Our goal in creating their custom branding was to help them stand out as luxury while also not losing their approachable personalities. We started with the color palette and began diving into all of Africa’s vibrant colors. We chose colors that were iconic of Africa, but that also signified growth, inspired trust, and fueled curiosity.

Branding isn’t just about colors, though, although those do play a pivotal role. We also need to tie your brand story to your branding and make it immediately recognizable. Your logo needs to tell a story, evoke emotions and leave a lasting impression.
With Roane Travel Design, we wanted to create something unlike anything else out there. After getting to know them, we knew that their story focuses on the family. Family started their passion for world exploration and what keeps them going every day. It’s who they serve and is a central part of their mission to its very core. Immediately, we knew we wanted to use a tree to signify their deep roots and their family tree. They took it one step further with “The Tree of Life,” or the Baobab Tree.
When combined with a logo that was timeless with a bit of whimsy, their logo became something instantly recognizable.
Research-Based SEO Copywriting for Travel Agencies
While the custom brand design team was creating their brand and logo design, the SEO and copywriting team was also working on finding keywords that would help bring new clients to the Roane team. Although their business has established a great name for itself we wanted their website to bring in all new clients. Plus, we wanted to help travelers connect with a trustworthy company when they’re booking their African safari vacation.
After some digging, we discovered what travelers were Googling when shopping for African vacations. Then, we set to work creating authentic copy that told their story while also strategically putting those keywords in the right places.
However, copywriting is so much more than just some fancy SEO strategy. It’s meant to give viewers a glimpse into the company by sharing a bit of their story and personality. Yet, this site is so much more than that even. It was also crucial for the Roane team to provide helpful information to their viewers, well beyond how to book a vacation.
The Finished Product: Custom Showit Website Design
Once all of the pieces are created and gathered, all that is left to do is put it all together into the custom travel agent website design. Sounds easy, right?
When it comes to creating a custom website that converts, there are a few pieces to consider. This custom creation was a lot of fun for our team. Our goal, as always, was to make it easy for travelers to navigate the site and learn about the team and its services. However, we did something with this site that we hadn’t seen done before on a Showit website. We created an interactive map of Africa that allows travelers to scroll over and click on various locations within Africa. Viewers can learn more about the destinations, see pictures taken by the team and past clients, or contact a team member. We believe this feature will be helpful for the team and their future travelers.
